Position Summary Senior SAP IS-U Billing Consultant with 15+ years of utility industry experience specializing in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Time-of-Use (TOU), Real-Time Pricing (RTP), SAP IS-U Billing, EDM. Proven expertise in designing interval billing solutions, integrating SAP IS-U with AMI/MDM platforms, configuring complex utility tariffs, and delivering end-to-end Meter-to-Cash transformations/support for electric/gas/water utilities. Experienced in SAP S/4HANA Utilities programs, billing validation, rate modernization, and production support. The SAP IS-U Billing RTP Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and supporting SAP IS-U Billing solutions for utilities implementing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Time-of-Use (TOU), Real-Time Pricing (RTP), and interval billing programs. The consultant works closely with Meter Data Management (MDM), AMI vendors, CIS teams, Business stakeholders, and Integration teams to ensure accurate processing of interval consumption, billing determinants, rates, and customer invoices. The role requires strong expertise in SAP IS-U Billing, Device Management, EDM, RTP/TOU rate design, AMI integrations, and end-to-end utility business processes.

Configure SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing processes.
Design and implement RTP, TOU, Critical Peak Pricing (CPP), and dynamic pricing billing solutions.

Support complex tariff structures for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
AMI & Meter Data Integration
Design and support interfaces between:
AMI Head-End Systems like IEE OWOC and similar systems
Meter Data Management (MDM) Systems like IEE
SAP IS-U modules like DM/EDM
Validate interval consumption data received from:
Itron
Analyze interval data quality issues and billing impacts and suggest corrective actions.
RTP & TOU Billing Design
Implement Real-Time Pricing programs.
Configure Time-of-Use schedules:
On-Peak
Mid-Peak
Off-Peak
Critical Peak
Design rate switch scenarios and seasonal pricing models.
Develop billing determinants for interval-based billing.
SAP EDM Support
Configure and maintain:
Profile Values

Support VEE (Validation, Estimation & Editing) processes.
Monitor profile uploads and interval data accuracy.
Interface Management
Coordinate inbound and outbound interfaces/ES from:

Parallel Billing Validation
Reconcile billed amounts against expected rate calculations.

Investigate billing exceptions.

Support monthly billing cycles and peak season readiness activities.
Conduct workshops with billing and regulatory teams.
Translate tariff requirements into SAP IS-U configurations.
Create Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
