About the Role We're looking for a Product Manager to lead consumer payment experiences on WhatsApp in India -- our largest and fastest-growing payments market. You'll own the product strategy and execution for consumer & merchant payments on WhatsApp, working at the intersection of UPI infrastructure, merchant ecosystems, and consumer experiences that are used by tens of millions of people every month.
What You'll Work On
? Own the India payment product roadmap including P2P payments, P2M payments, utility payments (recharges, bill payments), and merchant onboarding
? Drive growth of UPI payment transactions on WhatsApp in India
? Partner with UPI infrastructure, design, data science, and engineering teams to ship experiences that move key metrics
? Navigate India's complex regulatory landscape (NPCI, RBI compliance) and partner ecosystem
? Define and execute strategies to expand merchant coverage and drive consumer payment habituation
What We're Looking For
? 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in payments, fintech, or marketplace products
? Strong understanding of India's payments ecosystem (UPI, wallets, merchant acquiring) preferred
? Experience shipping consumer-facing products at scale
? Comfort with ambiguity -- this is a fast-moving space with regulatory, partner, and technical complexity
? Data-driven decision making; ability to define and track metrics that matter
? Strong cross-functional leadership skills -- you'll work with eng, design, DS, policy, legal, and business development

Can you describe to me what a day to day looks like in this role?
? Thinking about user and merchant needs to make payment on WhatsApp
? Leveraging competitive app UX and insights to develop strong WhatsApp Payment experiences for users and merchants
? Proactively owning product roadmap and resolving blockers to executing on roadmap items
? Working closely with Sales, Partnership, Payment partners and Merchants to increase number of users and merchants using WhatsApp Payment experiences driving an increase in number of Payment transactions on WhatsApp
? Working with regulators to ensure WhatsApp payment compliance
Top 3 non-negotiable must skills:
UPI payment experience;
Passionate about UPI Payments and WhatsApp CEO ownership mindset (does not wait for being told what to do)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
? Good to have skills:
Strong execution skills
Data driven decision making
Strong cross-functional leadership skills -- you'll work with eng, design, DS, policy, legal, and business development
