Job Title: Medical Device Engineer 2 Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
You will be working on the optimization and standardization of electrochemical tests and test preparation tasks in the laboratory to support R&D sensor test method validation needs and test development initiatives.
You will work on drafting of Test Method Validation Plans, Protocols and Reports, MSA/Gage R&R Studies, Verification Test Reports and Equipment Qualification Documents
Working with engineers on the team, you will carry out activities in equipment qualification and documentation. These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, IQ documentation, supporting the completion of test method validations.
You will support creation of validation protocols, reports, and test procedures.
Perform data analysis and provide statistically justified conclusions.
You will investigate testing issues and identify sources of measurement variation through systematic troubleshooting of test systems.
You will execute test scripts.
You will perform basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and computers.
You will write documentation supporting test method validation and route Change Orders through Client change control for approvals.
You will maintain laboratory equipment qualification and calibration requirements
You will work on approval and release of test system equipment documentation through clients equipment management system
Technical writing skills as applied to test and equipment documentation
Support information and data gathering for system troubleshooting.
Education:
BS degree in STEM
Work related years of experience
2-4 years of related experience
Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables):
Analytical / Wet Lab Experience
Test Method Execution and Validation experience
Technical writing skills
Preferred Skills (nice to have)
Electrochemical instrumentation
Equipment qualification and documentation
Solidworks and JMP software
