Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer Duration: 18 Months- Contract to Hire Location: Preferred work location Southlake, TX and Secondary Locations Austin, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
Monitor emerging security threats and assist with developing detection mechanisms.
Support and troubleshoot IAM and enterprise security technologies.
Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and scripting to support security initiatives.
Troubleshoot network and security issues while maintaining a high level of client confidence.
Collaborate with team members while also working independently on assigned tasks.
Required Experience
3–5 years of Security Engineering, IAM, or related experience.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Development or scripting experience (Python or similar).
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Linux, Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and penetration testing.
Knowledge of application security, DDoS mitigation, malware protection, wireless security, VoIP security, and network traffic analysis.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
Single Sign-On (SSO) experience.
Federation or other IAM technologies.
Experience with Ping Identity products, including PingFederate, PingID, and PingAccess.
Experience with HYPR Affirm or other passwordless authentication solutions.
Note: Ping Identity experience is preferred but not required. The hiring manager is willing to train candidates with a strong IAM or federation background.
