Music Partnerships Manager, India (Meta)
The Music Content and Business Development team at Meta works with the most influential, culturally relevant music/labels and publishers across India. This team manages and maintains direct relationships with our key partners to ensure that we meet joint growth objectives between partners and Meta platforms (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, WhatsApp). This team also serves as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders in the context of these relationships.
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic and independent Strategic Partner Manager who can champion strategy and growth for our partners from different genres across our family of apps,, tools and services. The individual should be passionate about the changing music ecosystem, technology and supporting our goal of connecting people through social media, the mobile eco-system and business strategy. This role is key to supporting our partners through strategic growth opportunities, exciting programs, new product solutions and curating best in class partner relationships across the industry and the country. This job requires high levels of creativity and problem-solving abilities, and we are looking for someone who can think strategically, articulate their vision yet also roll up their sleeves to get the job done. This person will be comfortable in any room to educate, advocate and excite internal and external stakeholders. This role will lead the management of Meta’s commercial relationships with music music/labels and publishers in India, as well as collaborate with our product and media partnerships teams to ensure a coordinated and best-in-class music/label and publisher partner management structure.
This position is based in Mumbai, India.
Strategic Partner Manager, Music Content & Business Development, India Responsibilities



Manage day to day relationships with the most relevant and exciting partners and guide them in using our products.
Have a strong data driven perspective to the work and proactively identify/analyze to address potential challenges and opportunities.
Lead Music/label partnerships and build initiatives that encourages product adoption and product priority
Lead optimization of the health of music/label and publisher commercial partnerships in India
Work with Facebook/Instagram/Whatsapp product and partnerships teams and music music/labels and publishers to ensure a comprehensive music strategy that supports our efforts to make the world more connected on Meta
Maximize communication, education, data management, ingestion, reporting, payment and partnership growth with music music/labels and publishers in India
Be a source of deep insights about the music ecosystem and partners to our executives
Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment
Proven experience in data analysis, partner management and interpretation within the music or entertainment industry
Ability to generate data and budget reports summarizing key insights and trends.
Strong organizational skills to manage weekly data tracking processes efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to provide administrative support, including contracts, payments, POs, invoices, etc.
Build long term relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Work on building programs with music/labels around key launches
Work with partners on developing and executing campaigns based on contractual requirement.
Proactively resolve operational issues of partners.
Be an internal advocate for partners and follow best practices
Navigate through complex cross functional teams and build strong cross-functional relationships internally and effectively collaborate in developing new strategies
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in the music or entertainment industry with understanding of the dynamics and ecosystem
Extensive knowledge of digital business models and technology
Strong ability to communicate effectively across teams and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow strategic partners through 1:1 relationships.
Ability to identify available resources, be proactive, independent and quickly gain expertise in new areas.
Ability to analyze partner performance data to derive insights to achieve your objectives.
Experience of having worked in large cross-functional environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Experience in partner-management roles.
Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
