Location: Aibonito, PR
Pay Rate: $11.62 / Hourly
Shift D: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts) on Saturday & Sunday, plus 2 additional weekday shifts (8 hours each).
Summary
Loading, unloading, and transferring material between different manufacturing areas. Verify that each load complies with all specifications and procedures. Receive returns of materials from the manufacturing areas using the GME and DCLink systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- At the beginning and throughout the shift, prepare the manufacturing and packaging materials that will be used during your manufacturing shift.
- Responsible for completing the manifest for material dispatch.
- Generate the labels that will be used for the packaging of different materials, whether QCF-50 labels or electronic labels from POMs.
- Request materials from the warehouse using the DClink and GME Scanner to move them to the production area.
- Comply at all times with company rules, Good Documentation Practices, and EHS regulations.
- Organize the staging area by placing enough pallets and boxes for the shift's production.
- Daily, enter and check the GME system to carry out inventories, dispatches, and to remove materials from the system.
- Supply the appropriate attire for the gownings in the manufacturing areas, including hairnets, gloves, shoe covers, and beard covers.
- Check the daily work schedule and place the product in its corresponding destinations.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, complying with SOL 6S.
- Available to support other areas as required by the Supervisor or Assistant.
- Clean and sanitize the carts before entering them into the clean manufacturing room.
- Responsible for reporting any defective equipment or situations of damage and risks in your work area.
- Actively report health and safety hazards, environmental aspects, incidents, risks, and opportunities in the EHS management system. Participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions for continuous improvement of the EHS management system.
- Check the condition of the forklifts daily. Carry out minor adjustments and routine preventive maintenance on the forklifts (such as checking the battery water level, testing the brakes, etc.).
- Prepare requisitions when requesting necessary materials from the Stock Room.
- Ensure to prepare plastic gaylords and/or cardboard (for recycling) to pack the manufactured product.
- Read job orders or follow verbal instructions to locate material or material that needs to be moved from the area.
- Load materials from the storage area to the designated work area.
- Responsible for requesting a wagon for product shipment.
- Unload the wagon and remove material if necessary.
- Responsible for inspecting the wagon to be loaded with product and documenting it on the corresponding form.
- Responsible for loading the wagon with product and documenting it on the corresponding form.
- Identify retained materials with their respective documents (copy of the PRR) and ensure they are moved to the quarantine cage.
- Responsible for searching, preparing, and distributing solvents used in the manufacturing area.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or using a forklift.
- Must be able to handle multiple areas at the same time.
- Team-oriented.
- Ensure to leave materials for the start of the next shift.
- Other related functions may be assigned.
- Comply at all times with health and safety rules, environmental aspects, incidents, risks, and opportunities in the EHS management system. Participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions for the continuous improvement of the EHS management system.
- Comply at all times with the safety measures established by EHS and the storage policies. Use personal protective equipment at all times.
- High school graduate.
- Experience in positions related to material packaging.
- Communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Availability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess a forklift license and pass the special forklift exam (Narrow Aisle).
- Must report at least 2 months in advance when the forklift operating license expires.
- Basic computer and mathematics skills.
- Able to tolerate heights of up to 40 feet.
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee must regularly stand and may occasionally be required to sit. Exerts occasional force of 20 lbs. to 50 lbs., and/or frequent force of 10 lbs. to 25 lbs., and/or negligible amount greater than 10 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects. The physical requirements' demands exceed those of Light Work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
