Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA 94105

Duration: 7 Months

About the Role:
Our client is a brand which is built for everyone — and we’re looking for someone eager to help bring it to life. As an Assistant Brand Manager on the Growth Marketing team, you’ll be the operational engine behind some of our most visible marketing programs. You’ll keep campaigns on track, ensure flawless execution across paid media and in-store channels, and own the details that make a real difference.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accountability, is deeply curious about how marketing works, and is ready to build foundational skills across brand, retail, and digital marketing from day one.

What You’ll Do:

Martech & Campaign Operations
• Create and maintain brief shells and updates in our Martech tools, ensuring the Growth team always has accurate, up-to-date campaign information.
• Manage reporting setup, asset info line items, and linking within our campaign management platforms.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for brief status and tool hygiene across the team.

Paid Media Quality Assurance
• Conduct thorough QA on paid media assets and placements across platforms including Meta and Google, flagging discrepancies before campaigns go live.
• Partner with the broader media team to ensure creative specs, copy, and targeting details are accurate and on-brand.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of paid media fundamentals and a keen eye for detail.

Content Routing & Project Ownership
• Route content to external agency and vendor partners with clear direction, deadlines, and feedback — keeping projects moving without bottlenecks.
• Own end-to-end delivery of small promotional content projects, managing timelines, versioning, and final approvals.
• Build collaborative relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders to streamline content workflows.

Store Signage Communications
• Serve as the primary owner for store signage communications, partnering closely with Retail Marketing and Store Operations to ensure timely, accurate in-store messaging.
• Manage the flow of signage briefs, approvals, and change communications to the right teams at the right time.
• Connect brand campaigns to the physical retail environment, reinforcing a consistent customer experience in every store.

Who You Are:
• Highly accountable — you follow through, communicate proactively, and take ownership of your work without being asked twice.
• Deeply curious — you want to understand not just the “what” but the “why” behind marketing decisions, and you’re always looking to learn.
• Detail-oriented and organized — you can juggle multiple workstreams, catch the small stuff, and keep moving in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative communicator — you work well cross-functionally and can distill complex information clearly, whether for a brief or a quick Slack message.
• Energized by executional excellence — you see operational rigor as a superpower, not a chore.

Qualifications:

Required
• 0–2 years of experience in marketing, brand management, project coordination, or a related field (internships count).
• Familiarity with paid media platforms such as Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads — you don’t need to be an expert, but you understand how campaigns are structured.
• Experience with project management tools such as Workfront, Asana, or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.

Nice To Have
• Experience in retail, fashion, or consumer brand marketing.
• Exposure to in-store or shopper marketing, signage production, or retail operations.
• Comfort working with creative teams and external agency partners.
