Job Description
Job Title: Operations - Operations Facilities Management
Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Must be local to Orlando as will be going to multiple restaurant sites
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain kitchen equipment and perform minor building repairs at designated restaurants to keep assigned locations safe, functional, and marketable while supporting compliance with applicable accessibility standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair and maintain assigned restaurants in Orlando and the surrounding area.
Complete or coordinate repairs and routine maintenance in accordance with brand standards.
Respond to emergencies, including nights and weekends when required, to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Maintain required certifications for repairing kitchen equipment, including fryers, ovens, exhaust hoods, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and HVAC systems.
Perform periodic maintenance assessments.
Perform periodic ADA accessibility and compliance audits and take corrective action when needed.
Schedule and track repairs, maintain van parts inventory, and manage tools and supplies.
Process work orders submitted by restaurant teams; prioritize and schedule restaurant visits in partnership with Operations and the Facilities Leader.
Track parts purchases and submit appropriate billing documentation to Accounts Payable.
Record completed repairs and maintain accurate documentation within the facility tracking system.
Grow technical skills and competencies to support additional restaurant assets.
Maintain communication with the Facilities Leader and Operations when additional diagnosis or troubleshooting is needed.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Operations: Restaurant General Managers, Area Coaches, and Team Members
Development: Architects and Construction Managers
Finance and Accounts Payable partners
Leadership Team and Global Leadership Team members, as needed
SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education/Certifications: High school diploma or GED required. Formal trade-related training, education, and/or certifications are preferred. Restaurant equipment certifications and HVAC, mechanical, or refrigeration experience are preferred but not required.
Years of Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in multi-unit facility maintenance or equipment repair.
Broad experience performing restaurant equipment, electrical, plumbing, and building repairs.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment while maintaining high productivity without direct supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving orientation, with a sense of urgency.
Curiosity and aptitude for learning how things work, with a desire to grow and broaden technical skills and competencies.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Outlook and Excel, and working knowledge of inventory control practices.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time.Position is offered by a no fee agency.
