- Fiber installation oversight
- Fiber troubleshooting
- Testing and validation
- Technical support for network connectivity
- Managing telecom contractors from the owner's side
- Highly technical role
- Often sourced from telecommunications backgrounds
- Engineering degree not required
- Hands-on experience is more valuable than formal education
