Job Title: Software Developer III - Java
Duration: 24 months (Possibility of extension/conversion based on business needs)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days a week onsite)
 
Scope of Project: migration from node to spring boot, upscaling using Azure
Team Size/Culture: 25 people

Required Education: Bachelors Degree within Computer Science, Engineering etc. is an asset
Years of Overall Experience: 5+ years of experience
Preferred Candidate Background: Banking or financial institution experience
 
Must-Have Hard Skills:

• 5+ years of experience within Spring Boot and API development
• Experience setting up Data base’s from the ground up for new API’s
• Migration from node to Spring Boot
• Azure migration experience
• Understanding of how API’s connect to Mainframe
• Prior banking experience (big 5 banks)

 
Soft Skills:

• Very strong and clear communication (written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong facilitation skills
• Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and someone who is a self-starter and adaptable

 
Nice-To-Have

• Azure fundamentals or Java certifications
• Experience migrating from node to spring boot
• Prior Client experience
