Job Description
Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Crisis & Incident Management (Enterprise Resilience)
Job Type: 6-months
Schedule: 37.5hrs weekly, Hybrid (onsite NYC 3 days a week)
Location: New York City, NY
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive execution of a high-visibility Enterprise Crisis & Incident Management initiative. This initiative is designing and implementing enhancements to the organization's crisis management capabilities, including the build-out of a 24/7 operations center.
The initiative spans multiple working groups and disciplines, covering strategic development, playbook development, technology workflows, and key capabilities. The work is active, milestone-driven, and reported to senior leadership on a regular basis.
This role is primarily about delivery leadership. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking a multi-workstream program involving crisis management, communications, technology, security, risk, cyber, and corporate functions. You will keep actions current, follow up with workstream owners, ensure deliverables and timelines are clear, and build executive-level project updates that allow leadership to make informed decisions quickly.
The ideal candidate brings deep project and program management experience within large, complex organizations, preferably in financial services. Familiarity with resilience, crisis management, or risk-related initiatives is a plus, but the primary focus of this role is execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Delivery
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across all workstreams.
• Coordinate multiple workstream owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Keep action logs current, follow up proactively with owners, and surface blockers early.
• Drive issue resolution, escalation management, and risk mitigation.
• Track progress against milestones and clearly communicate status to leadership on a regular cadence.
Executive Reporting & Governance
• Prepare executive-level status reports, decision-support materials, and governance updates that are clear, concise, and action-oriented.
• Facilitate governance forums, working groups, and executive steering meetings.
• Ensure deliverables, owners, and timelines are explicit and visible across all workstreams at all times.
• Manage dependencies across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of project or program management experience.
• Proven track record delivering large, cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong experience developing project plans, managing dependencies, tracking milestones, and driving execution.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead work across multiple teams without direct authority.
• Experience preparing executive-level presentations, reporting, and governance materials.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing programs involving business, technology, risk, compliance, or operational stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard project management methodologies and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred.
• Exposure to enterprise resilience, operational resilience, crisis management, global security, business continuity, risk management, or governance programs.
• Experience working in global security, intelligence, or fusion center environments.
• Familiarity with crisis simulation exercises, incident response coordination, or real-event support.
Key Competencies
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action.
• Solution-focused: identifies problems and brings options, not just issues.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Comfortable operating independently in fast-moving, high-pressure environments.
• Confident communicating with and presenting to senior executives.
Strong backgrounds include:
• Senior Project Manager or Program Manager roles leading complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives involving business, technology, risk, compliance, and operations.
• Enterprise PMO leadership roles within large financial institutions, insurance companies, or other regulated organizations.
• Operational Resilience, Risk, Governance, Regulatory Remediation, or Enterprise Change Management programs in a project/program management capacity.
• Consulting engagements focused on program delivery, transformation execution, or large-scale change initiatives.
This role is likely not a fit for candidates who:
• Have only written frameworks, policies, or playbooks without direct delivery accountability.
• Have no exposure to time-sensitive, high-pressure operational environments.
• Cannot speak clearly to their role in an actual or simulated incident.
At SPECTRAFORCE, we are committed to maintaining a workplace that ensures fair compensation and wage transparency in adherence with all applicable state and local laws. This position’s starting pay is: $ 100.00/hr.
