Job Description

Job Title: Analyzing Technician I
Duration: 2+ months | Temp to Hire
Location: Allen, TX 75002
Worksite: Onsite | 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary
The Electronic Technician will be working in an electronics manufacturing environment, diagnosing and testing Digital Video Recorder Systems and peripherals. This position will require proven ability to work from schematics, drawings, inspection reports, engineering documents, and any instructions (oral or written) from the supervisor.
Looking for someone who has been a repair/return technician in the Electronic Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic products down to the sub-assembly and/or component level.
  • Troubleshoot and test various Mobile/Fixed Video systems and peripherals using test stations and industry-standard diagnostic equipment.
  • Utilize proper ESD practices during diagnosis and repair activities.
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Customer Service departments.
  • Ensure high-quality work is performed with repeatability and reliability.
  • Support management production requirements and meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
  • Very good understanding of Analog and Digital Electronics and prior experience in troubleshooting Electronic Printed Circuit Assemblies (2+ years minimum).
  • Proven and demonstrable skills related to circuit analysis, fault isolation, and root cause determination.
  • Must be very familiar and comfortable working with current Digital Electronics technologies.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting PCBAs containing:
    • Microcontrollers
    • Memories
    • Programmable Devices (FPGAs, etc.)
    • Low Power Signals
  • Experience using:
    • DVMs
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Other general-purpose test equipment during PCBA diagnosis and repair
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Computers
    • Basic networking concepts
    • MAC IDs
    • IP addresses
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Aptitude and passion for learning new technologies and processes.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work within a diverse cultural work group.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good moral character and ability to fit into the company culture.

Education
  • A 2-year or 4-year Technical Degree preferred.
