Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for leading one or more complex, high-priority projects, ensuring delivery within established scope, quality, timeline, and budget requirements. This role develops and maintains comprehensive project plans; monitors progress against milestones and communicates project status to stakeholders and leadership.
Key responsibilities include identifying critical path activities, assessing schedule risks and constraints, and proactively recommending and implementing solutions to mitigate roadblocks and keep projects on track. The Project Manager regularly engages with management and key stakeholders to provide updates, escalate issues, and drive decision-making.
The role coordinates and directs the work of project team members and may lead cross-functional teams across multiple functions. The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that project objectives, requirements, deliverables, risks, and decisions are clearly documented and effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
 
Skills:
  • Experience in leading large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and processes.
  • Experience in applying project management and business analysis methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, evaluate options, and drive effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams, as well as Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with collaboration, document management, and information-sharing platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across multiple programs, functions, and organizational levels.
 
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience OR Masters degree and 5 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience OR Associates degree and 12 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 14 years of experience
 
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  1. Project Management Expertise (Smart sheet and MS suite experience)
  2. Stakeholder Management and Communication
  3. Analytical Problem-Solving and Risk Management
 
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, and objectives.
  • Track action items and ensure timely completion of project commitments.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across projects and teams.
  • Lead recurring project team meetings, working sessions, and status reviews.
  • Coordinate activities across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate discussions, resolve issues, and drive decision-making.
  • Partner with functional leads to understand resource needs, priorities, and risks.
  • Identify project risks, roadblocks, and schedule constraints.
  • Analyze critical path activities and assess potential impacts to timelines.
  • Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Proactively drive resolution of project challenges to maintain momentum.
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress, key decisions, risks, and upcoming milestones.
  • Maintain project dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Maintain project documentation, including charters, plans, meeting notes, decision logs, and action registers.
