 Standard office hours / Hybrid onsite Tues-Thurs )

Interview: 50 min remote interview - if needed, a 2nd round in person interview


Duties: Analyzes current operational functions and offers and implements improvements. Maintains databases and extracts data for analysis. Runs and reviews reports, analyzing results in support of operational functions.
•30% Extracts data from multiple systems and departments using various data manipulation and extraction techniques for regular, cyclical, and ad hoc reporting.
•30% Performs research, analyzes reports, and creates statistical models for presentation/review. Summarizes findings and communicates results to management.
•30% Identifies operational inadequacies and uses various skills and resources to retool processes.
•10% Communicates with other areas regarding outcomes and reporting. null

Skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Good organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills. Ability to use complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts. Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.

Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office. Ability to acquire programming skills across various software platforms.
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Negotiation or persuasion skills. Ability to acquire or knowledge of ICD9/CPT4 coding.
Preferred Software and Other Tools: SAS and/or DB2, or other relational database.
Work Environment: Typical office environment. Some travel between buildings and out of town.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related field. or 2 year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and 2 years of reporting and data analysis work experience OR 4 years reporting and data analysis experience.
Preferred Work Experience: 2 Years-Related research and analysis experience.
Required Technologies: SQL Knowledge, PowerBI, Excel
Preferred Technologies: Tableau, Power Automate, Python, GitHub, MS Access

Day to day: There is a development and recurring or operational focus for the analyst. The development work is consultative, customer-facing, and requires understanding I/S business processes. Work involves facilitating meetings, gathering and documenting requirements, interacting with management and multiple teams to complete work, designing and developing a solution, and presenting outcomes to customers. This work requires a technical focus as well as a business perspective and consultative mindset.  The recurring or operational work is recurring, repeatable tasks and includes one-time ad-hoc requests. Recurring reports and data entry are well defined and are as automated as possible. Recurring work is reviewed annually at a minimum to ensure it continues to meet business needs. This work requires knowledge of reporting and data tools and communication with customers. The operations focuses on timeliness, accuracy, consistency, and providing the key customer insights and analysis to help with business needs and decisions

The Business Analysis Department supports the Business of I/S through Operational Excellence
Leverage industry recognized business intelligence tools and centralized data to enhance reporting capabilities
Provide transparency of information through just-in-time data in a secure, self-serve, centralized environment that is easily accessible and consistently presented according to established standards.
The team size is around 10 team members. The team is extremely collaborative, working together to design and build cohesive solutions for our customers
