Location: St Paul, MN 55102 (Hybrid, expectation is 3 days in office)

Position Overview:
- The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for leading the communications strategy and execution for a high priority internal initiative.
- This role translates strategy into clear, compelling communications that inform, engage, and align internal audiences.
- The Manager will own end to end content development and delivery across key internal channels, ensuring messaging is consistent, audience appropriate, and drives understanding and adoption.
- This role partners closely with senior leaders, functional stakeholders, and cross functional teams to shape the narrative, distill complexity, and deliver communication experiences that enable change and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy & Planning:
- Lead the development of an integrated internal communications strategy for the initiative, aligned to business objectives and change milestones.
- Define key messages, audience segmentation, communication cadence, and channel strategy to support awareness, understanding, and engagement.
- Anticipate communication needs across phases of the initiative and proactively adjust approach based on progress and feedback.
Content Development & Execution:
- Own content creation across written and visual formats, including:
- Executive and employee communications
- PowerPoint presentations and executive ready slides
- Leadership talking points and briefing materials
- FAQs, toolkits, and supporting assets
- Translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored to specific audiences.
- Ensure all content is aligned to tone, brand, and internal communication standards.
Channel Management & Delivery:
- Execute communications across internal channels such as email, intranet, leadership cascades, town halls, and team meetings.
- Partner with channel owners to optimize message delivery and reach.
- Ensure timing and sequencing of communications support clarity and minimize noise or fatigue.
Stakeholder & Leader Partnership:
- Act as a trusted communications advisor to initiative leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with functional teams (e.g., HR, Transformation, Marketing, Enablement) to ensure message alignment and clarity.
- Prepare leaders to communicate effectively by providing clear talk tracks, presentation support, and coaching as needed.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor communication effectiveness and gather feedback to assess understanding and engagement.
- Use insights to refine messaging, formats, and cadence over time.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, or improve communications as the initiative evolves.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Journalism, Change Management, Communications, or a related field
- 6-8+ years of experience in internal communications, marketing communications, or corporate communications.
- Proven experience leading communications for complex initiatives, transformations, or change efforts.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
- Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and comfort operating with ambiguity.

- Experience working with creative agencies, printers, promotional vendors, and event partners

Education/Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Journalism, Change Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in internal communications, marketing communications, or corporate communications.
