Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 1
Work Location: 111 Chesterfield Industrial Blvd, Chesterfield MO 63005
Assignment Duration: 12 months (Possible to extend or convert)
Work Schedule: 8 hours per day Monday – Friday (Office hours 8 am-6 pm, varies daily. No OT)
Work Arrangement: Onsite (Can be sourced from neighbouring county/state if candidate is fine with travelling to site)
Position Summary: Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.
Background & Context: This request is to help cover the loss of 2 FTE’s recently to continue providing for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system
• Prepare and submit request for prescription refills
• Initiate clarification requests
• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation
• Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualification & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office experience.
• Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
• At least 1 year in a pharmacy (per hiring notes).
Working Conditions & Physical Demands: Lots of walking involved. Physically able to stand for 8 hours daily. Performance metric: fill 18–22 orders accurately per hour.
