Job Title: Assistant Product Manager
Duration of Assignment: 12 Months
Possibility of Extension: Yes
Possibility of Conversion to Full-Time Employment: Yes
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Work Location: Toronto, ON
Work Requirements: Hybrid – 1 to 2 days per week in office, with additional in-office attendance as required on an ad hoc basis

 
Job Summary
The Operations team within Wealth Management, Global Asset Management provides end-to-end support for mutual funds, ETFs, segregated funds, high-net-worth wealth products, and savings products for internal and external stakeholders. The team delivers operational processes and after-sales support to personal wealth and asset management businesses. Areas of operational expertise include Broker/Dealer and Private Bank support, Asset Management, Investment Funds, and Life Insurance.
The Assistant Product Manager supports the execution of strategic initiatives, operational processes, stakeholder communications, reporting, process improvements, and change management activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work in a high-volume environment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and service delivery.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Act as a representative of the product management function.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate with internal business partners and external customers regarding standard and non-standard inquiries.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics and address issues as required.
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Gather, organize, and format data into regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Support change management initiatives, including execution and sustainment activities.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and efficient operational services.
  • Resolve standard issues and escalate non-routine matters when necessary.
  • Serve as a problem-solving resource for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of projects, products, services, and process enhancements.
  • Process transactions and stakeholder requests accurately and in compliance with regulatory and risk requirements.
  • Provide consistent and knowledgeable responses to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Follow documented policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships to support service delivery expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable regulatory requirements and operational risks.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, systems, and operational improvements.
  • Assist in the development of tools and delivery of training initiatives.
  • Map and document cross-team process flows.
 
Must-Have Skills
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of in-office work experience.
  • Post-secondary education in any discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on urgency.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong discipline and ability to follow through on tasks.
