Job Description

Title: Platform Implementation Manager/Project Manager-I
Duration: 3 Months Assignment

Location: Remote (NY - Preferred)
 
About the Team
  • Part of company’s Commerce Platform (SaaS business unit)
  • Supports products such as: Online ordering, Branded mobile apps, Loyalty solutions, Gift card programs
  • Focuses on helping merchants transition from existing tech stacks to company’s products
  • Provides specialized merchant onboarding and technical support
  • Supports restaurants, grocers, and retailers
About the Role
  • Provide best-in-class onboarding experience for SMB merchants
  • Act as the main point of contact (“quarterback”) for merchants
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure smooth migration from current digital ordering platforms to company products
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Work closely with sales and account management teams
  • Set up kickoff calls with merchants
  • Project manage implementations for: Online Ordering, Mobile Apps, Loyalty Programs, Gift Cards
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on merchant websites and internal systems
  • Answer merchant “how-to” questions
  • Guide merchants through onboarding and setup processes
  • Provide operational support during initial product usage
  • Collect and document merchant feedback
Reporting Structure
  • Reports to Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations
  • Works within Commerce Platform organization
  • Primarily remote role with occasional collaboration near corporate hubs
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive merchant onboarding and implementations
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Deliver presentations to merchants
  • Handle merchant frustrations professionally
  • Train merchants on company Online Ordering products
  • Troubleshoot technical issues before escalating to engineering
  • Become a subject matter expert on Online Ordering products
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams
  • Share operational and product feedback internally
  • Meet service quality and timeline goals
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment
  • Contribute ideas to improve company direction
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in: Onboarding, Implementation, Project Management, Account Management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Tech-savvy with troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to investigate technical issues independently before escalation
Notes
  • Must have onboarding experience working with merchants utilizing POS systems
  • Preferred experience with: Toast, Square, Clover
