Job Title: Deployment Manager / Systems Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Salisbury / Mooresville, NC
Duration: Through end of year with possible extension
Work Schedule: Onsite 3 days/week
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a Deployment Manager / Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support infrastructure deployment, system implementation, and operational project delivery activities. This role will focus on hardware and software deployment, POS systems support, testing coordination, and infrastructure-related project execution within a lab and production environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently manage small to mid-size projects, work cross-functionally with engineering and business teams, and support deployment activities with minimal supervision.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, engineering, implementation, and deployment of systems infrastructure solutions
• Ensure hardware and software systems are fully deployed, implemented, tested, and functioning properly
• Plan rollout processes and deployment sequencing for new systems and platforms
• Prepare engineering plans, installation instructions, technical documentation, and system diagrams
• Serve as Technical SME for assigned systems, services, and applications
• Translate business needs into Agile stories or waterfall business requirements
• Partner with Solution Engineers to create technical specifications aligned with business outcomes
• Collaborate with QA and business teams to develop testing matrices and test cases
• Execute assigned tasks during system unit reviews and QA turnover processes
• Support configuration changes and operational changes for applications and services
• Work with Engineers, Developers, Suppliers, and Product teams to identify integration needs and design improvements
• Independently manage small to medium-sized projects from initiation through completion
• Analyze moderately complex issues and recommend solutions
• Support hardware-related activities within a lab/testing environment

 
Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of overall IT/infrastructure experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Experience with NCR POS EX (2.0) and/or NCR POS Emerald 1.0
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Batch Scripting
• Project management and deployment coordination experience
• API knowledge and integration understanding
• Experience supporting wireless Android applications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience working in hardware/lab environments

 
Preferred Skills

• Experience managing deployments across multiple systems/platforms
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Infrastructure implementation and operational support experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
