Job Title: Systems Engineer
Project Duration: 12 months

Role Description:
Provide Level 4 product support leadership for Technologies applications and platforms in the Physical Security Operations Portfolio. This role is desired to have a deep level of awareness and experience with physical security systems, including but not limited to Access Control, Video Surveillance (VMS), Intrusion & Weapons Detection, and Visitor Management technologies.

Role Description:
Provide Level 4 product support leadership for Technologies applications and platforms in the Physical Security Operations Portfolio. This role is desired to have a deep level of awareness and experience with physical security systems, including but not limited to Access Control, Video Surveillance (VMS), Intrusion & Weapons Detection, and Visitor Management technologies.
- This role also requires strong project coordination and project management capabilities to support enterprise deployments, lifecycle initiatives, operational transitions, vendor coordination, risk mitigation, and multi-site implementations across healthcare environments.
- 3 or more years work experience with security surveillance and video management applications and platforms, specifically Genetec Video Surveillance, Avigilon VMS, and unified access control systems.
- The role requires a strong understanding of network administration, security, and surveillance technologies, including IP cameras, wireless networks, encryption, firewalls, VPNs, video analytics, and cloud computing. Demonstrated exposure to working and collaborating with operational leaders in a hospital environment is also strongly preferred.
- A deep understanding of network infrastructure, cabling, and data transmission. Knowledge of security protocols and access control systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated project management experience supporting enterprise technology deployments, vendor coordination, operational readiness, issue/risk tracking, timeline management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional implementation efforts. Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects within a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
- Daily engagement and leadership with the product team for the support, iteration, build, deployment, and upgrade of video surveillance platforms.
- Deep understanding of the integration of the product portfolio and its use case within the healthcare setting, including surveillance technology and integrations with other applications.
- Daily work will include collaborating with stakeholders, peers, developers, project managers, and vendors to design and implement software and security devices.
- Lead and support project implementation activities including planning, coordination, status reporting, risk identification, issue resolution, and deployment readiness.
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Works independently to understand workflows and applies technical knowledge to assist end users.
- Creates clear documentation for education, knowledge sharing, and procedure/policy requirements.
- Utilizes critical thinking to decipher workflows and understand adjustments needed to application deployments.
- Understands basic technology infrastructure to assist with any new functionality, break/fix, or application replacement.
- Experience working with vendors and technology partners to resolve escalated technical issues and implement system updates or enhancements.
- Collaborate with project managers and operational leaders for risk, issue, decision, and status reporting.
Support enterprise project execution through scheduling coordination, implementation tracking, testing validation, and operational transition planning. - Consult on strategic oversight of system design for future considerations.
- Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
- On-call availability is a requirement. Additional duties as assigned.
- Experience with enterprise-grade access control systems, such as Honeywell Pro-Watch, AMAG Symmetry, Genetec Security Center/Synergis, Avigilon Unity Access, and similar platforms. Must have hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing access points, HL7 interfacing, card readers, biometrics, and controllers.
- Deep expertise with Video Management Systems such as Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center/Omnicast, Avigilon Control Center, and equivalent platforms. This includes configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with access control and other security systems
- Project Management & Operational Coordination
Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology projects, including multi-site deployments, lifecycle refreshes, migrations, and operational support transitions. Ability to coordinate timelines, facilitate meetings, manage risks/issues, communicate status updates, and collaborate with vendors, operational teams, and leadership to ensure successful project execution. Familiarity with healthcare governance, change management, and implementation methodologies is preferred. - Willing to travel to different sites. On call availability is required
