Job Description:
Summary:
- As a Wireless Technical Program Manager on the Wrist Hardware team, you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to develop the next generation of custom and semi-custom wireless modules and subsystems powering our industry-leading consumer products.
- You will collaborate closely with internal and external partners to establish requirements, manage complex program schedules, proactively identify risks with mitigation strategies, and clearly communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- We seek program managers who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and process champions dedicated to delivering smooth, predictable execution in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Must-Have Skills:
- Technical background in wireless tech (elements of RF, antenna, bluetooth, 5G)
- Previous work of TPM
- Worked in consumer electronics
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Background in fitbit, apple
- Understanding of wireless security protocols and best practices
- Deep familiarity with emerging wireless standards
Years of overall experience required?
- 3+ years of TPM experience
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Wrist wireless engineering team to define, design, and execute hardware projects. Develop and manage wireless development schedules, keeping stakeholders informed and proactively identifying/addressing potential setbacks.
- Work cross-functionally to establish and drive best practices and technology development processes in a dynamic environment, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables such as architecture definitions, build goals, and wireless requirements.
- Track and report engineering issues encountered during the build process, providing regular status updates to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with component and wireless module qualification, validation, and characterization processes.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or Technical Program Manager, managing hardware or firmware projects from concept to mass production.
- 3+ years of experience working with wireless hardware module projects.
- 3+ years of wireless design and/or implementation experience, in hardware and/or firmware.
- In-depth knowledge of the product development process for consumer wireless hardware, including firmware integration to meet hardware delivery goals.
- Experience in communicating and operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects.
- Strong technical background in wireless systems (RF, WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular, etc.).
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive alignment, resolve conflicts, and deliver results in ambiguous environments. Experience with hardware/software integration and external partner management is a plus.

Typical Day-to-Day in the role
- Oversee Multiple Wireless Programs: Manage several concurrent wireless technology programs (WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular, etc.) across hardware and software teams.
- Set and Track Milestones: Define program milestones, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of features and products.
- Drive End-to-End Execution: Guide programs from ideation through technical analysis, system design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
- Support Engineering Teams: Provide ongoing technical guidance and support to engineering teams, helping resolve issues and unblock progress.
- Interface Management: Act as the bridge between wireless modules and other system components, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
- Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges related to wireless systems and device bring-up.
- Decision Support: Facilitate and drive key technical and program decisions for engineering teams, balancing trade-offs and aligning with long-term vision.
- Cross-Product Support: Ensure wireless requirements are met across multiple product lines
