Title: Buyer, Supply Chain
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid - M/W/Th onsite)

Reports To: Manager, Purchasing & Supply Chain

Overview:
Summary: The Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for maintaining the appropriate customer service levels (fill rates), the efficient use of the Company’s inventory assets (turns), and communications with the client's Branches and / or vendors for which responsibility is assigned. This individual plays a key role in ensuring smooth procurement operations, timely replenishment of distribution centers, and vendor performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely product replenishment.
• Maintain agreed-upon service levels and inventory turn goals.
• Communicate with vendors and internal branches to ensure smooth product flow.
• Monitor vendor performance (fill rates, on-time delivery) and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate returns for damaged or discontinued merchandise.
• Review missed demand and adjust inventory to capture future sales.
• Analyze inventory data to recommend transfers and prevent overstock.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Hard Requirements:

• 2–4 years of purchasing and inventory management experience.
• Basic Excel proficiency (pivot tables, total cost analysis).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Bonus / Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a large corporate environment.
• Familiarity with SQL and advanced Excel.
• Experience with Manhattan Inventory Replenishment software.
• CPIM certification (APICS) or equivalent preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
