Position: Principal Hardware Engineer
Location: Foxboro, MA
Duration: 6 Months
 
Top Skills:

• Experience with hardware product development lifecycle
• Experience with hardware board designing and testing with more emphasis on analog circuit design
• Experience in using schematic generation tools like DxDesigner 7.9.5

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, development, and analysis of hardware schematics, Bill of Materials, and layouts of target hardware
• Prepares of engineering and release related reports for project review
• Utilize engineering disciplines, including Electrical Engineering Process
• Management, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and WCA to develop robust design solutions
• Work closely with core hardware design engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and validate design fixes.

Required:

• Experience with hardware product development lifecycle and experience with released product and support.
• Experience with hardware board designing and testing with more emphasis on analog circuit design
• Experience in using schematic generation tools like DxDesigner 7.9.5
• Experience in circuit analysis and simulation using PSPICE, LtSpice
• Experience in using CAM tools like View Mate or similar for Gerber validation
• Testing of Engineering hardware prototypes using inhouse tools and also at external labs – Functional testing, Environmental testing, EMI/EMC
• Knowledge of PCB layout, Gerbers and using DFM/DFT guidelines

Preferred:

• Working experience with Industrial Automation products.
• Hardware design simulation using PSPICE or equivalent tool.
• Knowledge of Pre and post signal integrity analysis.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC compatible design and testing.
