Job Title: Test Technician 2
Location: Longmont, CO
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8 Hours | Fully Onsite

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Lab/Test Technician to support hardware setup, troubleshooting, validation activities, and lab operations in a fast-paced engineering environment. This role is focused on PC/server hardware bring-up, rack installations, system configuration, and lab maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong hardware fundamentals, experience working in Linux environments, and the ability to efficiently perform repetitive setup and validation tasks while supporting daily lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, configure, and troubleshoot PC and server-based systems
  • Support hardware bring-up, validation, and system setup activities
  • Install, organize, and maintain rack systems and lab infrastructure
  • Perform hardware diagnostics and troubleshoot system-level issues
  • Support SSD/storage hardware setup and related testing activities
  • Install and configure Linux operating systems and environments
  • Handle shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and hardware organization
  • Execute repetitive setup, installation, and validation tasks with accuracy and consistency
  • Coordinate with engineering and lab teams to support operational readiness
  • Document issues, test observations, and task progress clearly
  • Assist with lab maintenance, cable management, and equipment organization
  • Support process improvements and basic automation efforts when needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with PC/server hardware assembly, setup, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of hardware troubleshooting in lab environments
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line usage
  • Experience working with system installation, hardware configuration, and validation tasks
  • Ability to work independently and follow structured procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a physically active, full-time onsite lab environment
  • Ability to handle repetitive technical tasks with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SSD, storage systems, NVMe, PCIe, or related technologies
  • Exposure to hardware validation or lab support environments
  • Basic scripting experience in Python or Shell
  • Experience with protocol analyzers, FPGA systems, or debug tools
  • Familiarity with rack building, lab infrastructure, and large-scale system setup

Experience:

  • 1–2+ years of hands-on technical or hardware support experience preferred
  • Degree preferred but not required with relevant practical experience

Work Environment:

  • Fully onsite role in a hardware lab environment
  • Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Requires handling hardware systems, equipment movement, and active lab participation
