Job Description
Position Title: Electro/Mechanical Assembler I
Work Location: Newark DE, 19702
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: First shift only, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (firm schedule, occasional pre-planned Saturday approximately once per month)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary: Responsible for building and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies per specification. May involve system level assembly and sub-assembly test.
Background & Context: Electro Mechanical Assembler I supporting mammography production in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies per specification. May involve system level assembly and sub-assembly test.
- Assembles sub-assemblies and system level hardware
- Performs in process sub-assembly testing of product being manufactured, when required
- Completes Device History Record data
- Performs assembly and test requirements for reconditioned hardware, when required
- Perform packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing, when required
- Maintain compliance with our organization policies QSR, ISO, EH and S
- Supports the day-to-day operations of manufacturing and service support to forecast, and regulatory compliance and our organization policies QSR, ISO, EH and S
- Provides training as needed.
- Participates in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by identifying risks and implementing controls to eliminate or minimize risk.
- Supports internal departmental audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with our organization policies QSR, ISO, EH and S.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualification & Experience:
- Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, terminal crimpers, and soldering irons.
- Ability to follow written instructions such as assembly procedures, test procedures mechanical assembly drawings.
- Experience with basic mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers and indicators.
- Experience with basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience and or training.
- Ability to use hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly setting
- Ability to follow basic SOPs and approved procedures
- Computer literacy. Must be comfortable using systems and basic computer functions
- Reliable work history with reasonable job tenure and clear explanations for any gaps
- Ability to work full first shift schedule consistently
Additional Information: Two total openings. Temp-to-perm intent if performance and business needs align. Standard manufacturing PPE expected.
