Title: Senior PowerPlan Systems Analyst Type: Permanent/Direct-Hire Location: Onsite – Tucker, GA Department: Controllers Reports To: VP, Controller, Principal Accounting Officer)
Overview The client is seeking a Senior PowerPlan Systems Analyst to serve as the functional owner of its on-prem PowerPlan application and related fixed asset systems. This is a hands-on, in-house role focused on long-term system ownership—not consulting.
This individual will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and alignment with accounting and regulatory requirements across the full asset lifecycle. The role is ideal for someone who wants to take full ownership of a critical financial system and drive continuous improvement across processes and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the senior functional owner of the PowerPlan on-prem application, including configuration, maintenance, data integrity, and security coordination
Partner cross-functionally with Fixed Asset Accounting, Capital Projects, Operations, Treasury, Planning, and IT to support asset lifecycle activities (CWIP tracking, capitalization, depreciation, retirements, ARO, loan tagging)
Design, maintain, and document approval workflows aligned with internal controls and audit requirements
Gather business requirements and translate accounting/operational needs into system solutions
Lead and execute testing efforts (UAT, integration testing, enhancements, disaster recovery)
Support and maintain system integrations including Maximo, Jedox, Lawson S3 / Infor CloudSuite FSM, Business Objects, and internal data interfaces
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes (depreciation, rate updates, interface validation, issue resolution)
Own functional support of the PowerPlan ARO module, ensuring accurate configuration and compliance
Develop and maintain system documentation, process flows, and training materials; provide ongoing user support and training
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements
Stay current on PowerPlan capabilities, accounting standards, and industry trends to drive enhancements
Hard Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial or asset management systems
Experience translating business/accounting requirements into system solutions
Strong experience working cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion
Bonus / Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with PowerPlan (strongly preferred, especially on-prem)
Experience with Maximo, Lawson S3, Infor CloudSuite FSM, Jedox, and/or Business Objects
Experience designing approval workflows and internal control frameworks
Background supporting system integrations and data interfaces
Experience in utilities, energy, or asset-intensive industries
Education Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field) Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
