Job Title: Tech II (Data Center / Lab Operations)
Duration: 6 Months (High chance of extension/conversion)

Client’s Network Platform Development team builds and tests routers and network operating systems that power large-scale data centers. The team operates massive testbeds (multi-rack setups with 1000+ connections) and is expanding significantly in 2026. Currently, building one testbed takes ~4 weeks, where 95% effort is manual work (cabling, racking, etc.). This role is critical to offload that work from highly skilled network engineers and improve efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform racking & stacking of servers, switches, and network devices
• Handle structured cabling (copper + fiber) across racks
• Support lab setup and teardown (decommissioning old hardware)
• Execute cable management and labeling best practices
• Assist in unboxing, inventory handling, and hardware staging
• Maintain data center lab organization and optimization
• Work closely with engineers to support testbed builds

 
Must Have Skills (Priority Order):

• Data Center / Lab Environment Experience
• Racking & Stacking (hands-on)
• Cabling (Ethernet / Fiber)

 
Nice to Have:

• Fiber optics handling
• Basic Linux commands
• Basic networking knowledge (switches, routers)
