Job Description

Location: Juncos, PR

Summary:
Under general supervision, the Sr. Associate Project Manager supports site Continuous Improvement (CI), productivity initiatives, and training operations by leading and coordinating cross-functional projects. This role is responsible for driving execution of improvement initiatives, enhancing team effectiveness through structured operating rhythms, and supporting new hire orientation and capability-building efforts.

Functions:
  • Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement and productivity initiatives with a focus on execution and results.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Quickly establish and drive team operating rhythms (meeting cadences, agendas, charters, action tracking).
  • Ensure meeting effectiveness and accountability through clear documentation and follow-up.
  • Develop and deliver monthly team performance reports, including productivity and CI metrics.
  • Support planning and coordination of new hire orientation and training activities.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison across functions to ensure alignment and remove barriers to execution.
  • Provide concise, actionable updates to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Represent the department on department /organization wide teams.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of project status, developments and issues.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments, outside agencies, collaborators by providing reports and data analysis and ensuring the flow of communication between groups.
  • Perform special projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Employees will also be responsible for verifying analytical data/ information being sent to various external/ regulatory agencies, and revising and/or auditing various documents.
  • Responsibilities will include the development of system data file strategy, detail plans, execution of schedule and the approval of packages required to support other start-up activities.
  • Job requires coordination of activities from our construction management vendor and our internal customers.
  • Manage document lifecycle activities in Electronic Document Management systems.
  • Manage controlled document coordination.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain archives in inspection readiness state.
  • Execute and manage sharing of controlled documents with External Business Partners.
  • Design, execution and maintenance of reports.
  • Controlled document releases.
  • Cognos-based reports.
  • Financial and resource data reports for Project Managers.
  • Act as knowledge expert for developing and/or managing shared data systems.
  • EDM Quality.
  • SharePoint portals and workflow design and management.
  • Oversight of MS Project templates.
  • Leading and/or participating on department project teams.
  • *Other functions may be assigned.
Education/Licenses:
  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of directly related experience or Associates degree and 6 years of directly related experience or High school diploma / GED and 8 years of directly related experience.
  • Engineering or Science degree preferred.
Competences/Skills:
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Facilitation and Presentation Skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and Pharmaceutical processes.
  • Advanced word processing/technical writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMI certifications (with PMP, CAPM)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical processes.
  • Experience improving team effectiveness and ways of working.
