Job Description

Job Title: IT Analyst V - Technical Support
Duration: 18 months
Location: Toronto, ON - 2 days onsite currently, could go to 4 to 5 days onsite


SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
This Role is to support Payments applications.
Heavy focus on documentation- asses and investigate issues

Provide leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security Plan, coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments; design and apply new methods and procedures. Solve business problems by providing detailed technical advice. Coordinate, lead and monitor technical systems inquiries. Liaise with vendors and service suppliers. Support and lead solutions with service providers. Certify satisfactory contract performance for systems development
 
MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:
1.) UNIX- strong experience
2.) Windows
3.) Documentation exp
4) Tech Support exp in a relevant role
 
NICE-TO-HAVE
1.) Mainframe
2.) SWIFT payment
3.) Development background (strong preference)
4) Banking (relevant exp)

CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS:
Degree/Level of Education: IT background- Post secondary education
Certifications Required: Unix cert would be a nice to have
Years of Overall Experience: Minimum would be 5 years
How will performance be measured: Internal metrics
Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background:
Mainframe- would be advantage
Monitoring tools- Dynatrace
Understanding of using AI tools for support would be helpful
Development background would be helpful- to be able to understand how application works (JAVA, Oracle, SQL)
SWIFT environment experience and payments would be an advantage
  • Will the contractor have access to any customer data?  Yes
 
Target interview: 1 or 2 rounds
  • Interview process:  1st would be virtual, 2nd round likely in person
  • Interview de-brief:

SKILLS: IT expertise in systems programming or network management. Team leadership experience
This Role is to support Payments applications. UNix, Windows, SQL and Mainframe app knowledge is essential
