Job Description:
We are seeking an expert-level specialist to execute a comprehensive "Data Quality Optimization" strategy within our marketing ecosystem. The core mandate of this role is to actively optimize data integrity and ensure the long-term stability and effectiveness of our data to meet evolving business needs, moving beyond rudimentary system monitoring. Under the direction of the Marketing Automation & Data Management leadership, this individual will proactively improve data integrity and execute the long-term data strategy, ensuring our Customer Data Platform (CDP) is actively fueling our marketing objectives with high-quality, business-ready data. The goal is to secure a dedicated specialist who will bridge the gap between technical system health and business-ready data effectiveness by executing a strategy to monitor and continually enhance data quality.
Scope of Work & Deliverables
Produce specific, measurable outcomes focused on stability and reliability within the marketing ecosystem. Serve as the primary technical owner for the following areas:
1. Data Quality Optimization & Operational Ownership
The contractor will be directly responsible for executing the strategy to maintain long-term data stability:
A. Proactive Data Optimization
Execute specific directives from the Data Management leadership to ensure data effectiveness for business needs.
B. Daily CDP/AEP System Health & Data Monitoring
Execute the team’s data monitoring protocols in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) to ensure early detection of anomalies.
2. Incident Response & Troubleshooting
Serve as the first line of defense for data issues, reducing reliance on external partners for daily fixes.
3. Specialized Technical Support
A. Advanced Data Analysis & Automation

This is an expert-level position requiring demonstrable, hands-on experience. We are seeking a professional who can operate independently and drive results immediately upon entry.
The success of this engagement will be measured by:
1) Data Effectiveness: Improvement in data quality metrics that directly support business requirements (e.g., audience accuracy).
2) System Stability: Reduction of undetected ingestion failures in the CDP/AEP environment.
3) Operational Continuity: Seamless transition of daily tasks from the implementation partner (Deloitte) to this operational role.

Execute specific directives from the Data Management leadership to ensure data effectiveness for business needs.
- Quality Assurance: proactively identify and resolve data quality degradation before it impacts downstream marketing campaigns.
- Audience Effectiveness: Validate that the data within the CDP is accurate, up-to-date, and structured correctly to meet specific business segmentation requirements.
B. Daily CDP/AEP System Health & Data Monitoring
Execute the team’s data monitoring protocols in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) to ensure early detection of anomalies.
- Ingestion Source Monitoring: Perform daily checks of the AEP Monitoring Dashboard for all data flows (Marketo, S3, etc.).
- Profile & Audience Metrics: Monitor Profile and Audience counts against established benchmarks (e.g., ~35–38M profiles, ~140 audiences) to identify and investigate sudden spikes or drops.
- Failure Investigation: Investigate dataflow failures by analyzing error codes/descriptions and utilizing preview error diagnostics.
2. Incident Response & Troubleshooting
Serve as the first line of defense for data issues, reducing reliance on external partners for daily fixes.
- Root Cause Analysis: Rapidly identify whether issues stem from source data (Marketo), transformation logic (Data Prep), or destination constraints.
- Resolution: Implement fixes for ingestion failures and mapping errors without requiring escalation to strategic leadership.
3. Specialized Technical Support
A. Advanced Data Analysis & Automation
- Data Workflows: Build and maintain data workflows in tools such as Snowflake, AccelData, and/or Alteryx to automate data quality checks and complex reporting tasks.
- SQL Analysis: Write complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy within the data warehouse and troubleshoot specific profile attributes.
- Support Case Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for opening and managing support tickets with Adobe and data enrichment vendors to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- 5 years of hands-on experience working directly with Marketo
- 5 years of hands-on experience working directly with Salesforce
- 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing database management
- Data Quality Optimization
- Proven experience with Adobe Real-Time CDP (AEP)

Required Qualifications & Experience
This is an expert-level position requiring demonstrable, hands-on experience. We are seeking a professional who can operate independently and drive results immediately upon entry.
- CDP Expertise (Critical): Proven experience with Adobe Real-Time CDP (AEP). Must have specific experience in monitoring data flows, troubleshooting ingestion errors, and managing destination activations within the AEP environment.
- Core Systems Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working directly with Marketo and Salesforce, including deep knowledge of their integration points.
- Data Tool Mastery: high level proficiency in Snowflake, Alteryx, AccelData (or similar tools) for complex data analysis and automation.
- Technical Foundations: Strong working knowledge of SQL, database structures, APIs (specifically for troubleshooting streaming errors), and data modeling concepts.
- Experience Level: Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing database management, data analytics, and operational reporting.
