Job Title: Service Manager
Location: Arlington, TX 76010
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)
 
Job Description:
  • Manages complex scopes with a full understanding of the daily operations of site personnel, chemistry, reporting, budget, and maintenance programs.
  • These positions will be responsible for the oversight of small, medium, and large single on-site customer contract operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • They provide the leadership (planning, scheduling, coordinating, assigning, and directing) to the Field Service Reps ensuring that all the contract terms, conditions, requirement, and standards of a contract are satisfactorily managed.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:?
  • Oversight of large multi sites/contract operations, ensuring compliance with formal contractual obligations and performance criteria.
  • O&M projects are managed effectively and comply with contractual, operational, maintenance and profitability requirements.
  • Oversight of large, complex multi- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationship with sales force, management, and customer.
  • Schedules work requirements to meet the day-to-day O&M requirements
  • Plan, develop and implement strategies for operational management that meet the agreed contract performance requirements within budget and timeframes.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of contract language, terms, and conditions.
  • Assist project developers in pursuing new business and contract renewal
  • Manages up to 20 or more direct and indirect reports with operational budget of 5 million dollars or more
  • Independence Level/Reports to: High Independence 
  • Accountable for meeting annual objectives of contract
  • Budget responsibility 
  • Prepares internal and external reports
  • Primary customer contact
  • Has an elevated level of customer interface including plant management.
  • Strong leader who can teach associates all the positions that he/she manages
  • Can fully troubleshoot system operations and functions, maintain inventory levels, and perform system and safety audits.
  • Can grow/develop the business by possessing a strong knowledge of the company’s offers.
  • Reports to Operations Manager/Regional Operations Manger
 
Qualifications:
  • Education/Work Experience: 5 to 7 years’ experience in the operations and maintenance of wastewater or water operations
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience of managing/supervising employees?
  • Water treatment licenses as required by law
  • Experience in managing multi sites or operations
  • Degree in technical field/engineering equivalent
 
Education/Experience:
  • Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school
OR
  • 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training
OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
 
Math Ability:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
Reasoning Ability: 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
Computer Skills: 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, project management software and database software.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities: 
  • Manages one subordinate supervisor who supervises employees.
  • Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
