Position Title: Project Manager – External Manufacturing
Work Location: Hybrid (Boston) or Remote EST
Assignment Duration: 6 Months

Assignment Duration: 6 Months
Position Summary:
- Own and coordinate the planning, execution, and tracking of external manufacturing projects delivered through Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
- The role ensures reliable supply by driving disciplined project management, cross-functional alignment, and transparent performance reporting across CMO operations.
Background & Context:
- Portfolio of CMO-related projects including production campaigns, tech transfers, validations, lifecycle management, and change initiatives.
- Global, cross-functional environment (Supply Chain, Quality, MS&T, Procurement, Finance).
- Supports projects impacting Dengue vaccine supply and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track execution against plan; manage action logs, decision logs, and deliverables
- Identify and escalate schedule risks, execution gaps, and dependencies
- Maintain project risk and issue registers with mitigation actions
- Track Change Orders and Work Packages, ensuring alignment across scope, timelines, and financials
- Support impact assessments to inform leadership decisions
- Collect and consolidate operational and project data from CMOs
- Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards
- Monitor key indicators (on-time delivery, yields, scrap, inventory) and highlight variances
- Act as day-to-day project coordination
- Prepare materials for project reviews and CMO business reviews
- Document decisions and ensure follow-up on agreed actions
- Support project-level budget tracking and forecasting
- Align project milestones with invoicing, goods receipt, and payment activities
- Identify opportunities to standardize and simplify project tracking and reporting
- Support adoption of digital and automation tools for project transparency and efficiency
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, supply chain, or equivalent experience
- 5–10 years in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or project coordination roles
- Experience working with external partners or suppliers
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, dashboards, and project tracking tools; digital tools a plus
- Structured planning and execution discipline
- Strong cross-functional coordination without direct authority
- Clear, concise project communication and reporting
- Data-driven tracking and exception management
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Strong background with MS Excel and MS Suite of products
