Job Description

Position Title: Engineer: III
Work Location: Salt Lake City
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Shift Schedule : 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Position Summary:
This position manages various project teams within the Engineering department.
The position's main responsibility is to lead project teams to deliver defined objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
• Develops and maintains project plans for moderate complexity projects, including scheduling and milestones.
• Works with Engineering management to allocate resources for projects.
• Provides recurring project updates to stakeholders, management, and other departments.
• Manages project teams in executing project plans:
a) Manage communication channels between the project team and other departments.
b) Manages roles and responsibilities of team members to ensure all team members understand their role and the interdependencies within the project team.
c) Motivates team members and promotes a high morale team environment.
• Ensures projects are developed to the Clients design control processes.
• Maintains project Design History File and ensures all documentation meets project and team needs.
• Provides technical oversight of projects and makes technical decisions as necessary.

Additional Information:

  1. This position does not have any directly reporting employees. The position does require supervising team members to ensure project work is completed on schedule and at acceptable quality levels. Teams may include Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Firmware Engineers.
  2. This position includes managing projects of difficult scope and complexity.
  3. Minimal travel may be required.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Engineering or Management.
Project Management certification preferred
