Job Description

Title: Senior Manager/Manager, Strategy & Transformation Project
Duration: 4 months (Possibility of conversion into FTE)
Location: Toronto, ON (2 days per week in office)
 
Description:
Salesforce is looking for a talented and dynamic Senior Manager/Manager to join the Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) Strategy and Transformation team. This person will be responsible for leading the Org’s future strategy, long-term projects, process excellence, and developing the Org’s ecosystem around systems, tools, and specific processes/policies. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders across Corporate Development, L2C, GTM, Sales Strategy, and internal GIC partners in the Design, Operation, and Systems teams to implement strategies set by the Executive team.
 
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at all levels of an organization and possess exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills. This role will require you to use both your strategic and tactical implementation skills, sometimes in very ambiguous environments. You will be a self-starter who can work cross-functionally and build strong working relationships. This role will require someone with a willingness to be a people manager and develop future talent.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive, detailed project plans, scope, objectives, and timelines for M&A integration workstreams (e.g., HR, IT, Finance, Operations, Sales).
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, including regular steering committee meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communication plans.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional integration teams, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies and escalating critical items as necessary.
  • Monitor progress against synergy targets and integration milestones, providing regular, accurate status updates to senior leadership and the Executive Steering Committee.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration project-related communication across internal departments and with the acquired entity.
 
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of total project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically managing large-scale, complex projects, preferably in consulting, corporate M&A, post-merger integration, or large-scale transformation environments.
  • Project Management, Communication, Presentation, Requirements gathering, basic understanding of E2E compensation process.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle (initiation through closure).
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira) and collaboration software.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing without direct authority.
  • Must be proactive and willing to lead.
 
Nice to have:
  • Experience working with different teams (cross-collaboration) is preferred.
  • Consulting experience for a major consulting firm, M&A experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in SAAS Sales Compensation or Consulting.
  • Experience in Sales case resolution management.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with functional areas involved in integration (e.g., migrating IT systems, harmonizing compensation, combining sales forces).
  • Experience supporting pre-close due diligence activities and translating findings into integration plans.
