Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities

Financial Statement & Portfolio Analysis

• Perform detailed reviews of portfolio company financial statements and operating results
• Conduct ratio, trend, and variance analysis to identify key business drivers
• Support ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance across multiple industries

Modeling & Reporting Support

• Work within existing financial models to update, maintain, and validate data accuracy
• Assist with recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for management review
• Support preparation of internal presentations summarizing company performance

Business Insight & Case Analysis

• Analyze operational and financial data to identify risks and opportunities
• Assist in preparing findings and insights for team and leadership discussions
• Participate in financial case reviews and portfolio performance evaluations

Team Collaboration & Development

• Partner closely with senior analysts and managers on portfolio reviews and projects
• Gain exposure to investment processes, financial analysis frameworks, and deal-related insights
• Continuously build technical accounting, modeling, and analytical skill sets

Financial Analyst Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in public accounting, finance, or a related analytical role
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset
• Detail-oriented, coachable, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize financial data into insights
