1. Advanced Debugging & Troubleshooting Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across diverse systems and platforms.
2. Complex Code Analysis Proven experience in rapidly understanding and interpreting large, intricate codebases (especially Hack, C++, Python).
3. Strong Communication & Collaboration Excellent teamwork and documentation skills to work with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Experience with Codepath Migration Prior exposure to migrating code or assets within large-scale codebases.
2. Process Optimization Ability to identify and implement improvements in workflows and documentation.
3. Adaptability to New Technologies Quick learner who can keep up with evolving project requirements and emerging tech.

Job Description:
- Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience sought to execute codepath analysis and migration on a significant volume of similar assets, primarily within the Hack Codebase. Proficiency in C++, Python, and MySQL is recommended.
- The role requires robust debugging capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of technical infrastructure, and the aptitude to rapidly comprehend and analyze complex code, including navigating detailed stack traces.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across various systems and platforms.
- Analyze and interpret complex codebases to ascertain key technical architecture.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of ongoing projects and deliverables.
- Document findings meticulously and contribute to process optimization initiatives as required.
- Exhibit rapid adaptability to emerging technologies and evolving project specifications
- Demonstrated expertise in the debugging and troubleshooting of technical infrastructure.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deliverables.
- Document findings and contribute to process improvements.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and changing project specs
- Focus on migrating numerous legacy code paths within the ads privacy domain. This involves analyzing existing data flows across different systems and updating the logic to conform to a new framework.
- There is also an opportunity to develop new framework components or tooling, which could be either AI-based or traditional software solutions.
- A collaborative, cross-functional engineering group at focused on codepath analysis and migration within the Hack Codebase.
- The team values technical excellence, adaptability, and clear communication, working together to optimize processes and deliver high-impact solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Measured objectively and clearly, success is tracked by the number of metrics migrated—a numerical and quantifiable outcome easily understood by all involved.
- Demonstrates strong technical judgment when faced with ambiguity, possesses complex technical skills, and is able to quickly pivot and adapt. Proactively identifies and rapidly resolves issues.
- Significant involvement with the largest advertising experiences, including understanding the functionality of big data, and a notable focus on the implications of the evolving privacy landscape.
