Job Title: Test & Evaluation Engineer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Candidate can work out of either Seattle, Everett, or Tukwila, WA
Summary:
Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods. Develops simple test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk. Designs components and sub-assembly level hardware or software, and uses analytical tools to verify the design. Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware. Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools. Supports the development of test debrief material. Participates in the evaluation of test performance data. Reviews test data for accuracy, quality, and/or fidelity prior to delivery to the customer. Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data. Prepares test reports for review. Works under general supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Document all engineering solutions and designs.
· Develop test plans and test procedures.
· Development and present technical design reviews.
· Works cross-functionally to support program/project plan and integrate with key stakeholders.
· Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures.
· Support development and approval of Estimates/Proposals.
Required Qualifications:
· B.S. Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, or equivalent.
· 2 years of electrical design.
· Knowledge of common drafting tools: MS Visio, Zuken.
· Knowledge of instrumentation sensors and data acquisition systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
· M.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
· Understanding electromagnetic interference.
· Wire installation.
· Wire design.
· Analyze measurement data.
· PLC and close-loop control.
· Basic knowledge of hydraulic.
· System engineering.
· Familiar with LabVIEW and NI hardware.
