Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid (2 days in office)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 6 months (Extension Possible | Conversion Possible)

We are seeking a Senior Application Release Engineer V to join our dynamic team of 22 professionals. This role is a backfill position that will contribute to critical projects focused on improving the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our systems. The successful candidate will embrace an automation-first, design-driven approach to software delivery, driving the end-to-end deployment process while collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple regions.

The successful candidate will embrace an automation-first, design-driven approach to software delivery, driving the end-to-end deployment process while collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and influence the design and operation of systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Lead automation initiatives across the application deployment pipeline, including infrastructure as code, source code management, and CI/CD tools.
- Execute software deployments and releases across all regions and environments, solving technical problems as they arise.
- Maintain DevOps tooling, processes, and testing ecosystems to support high environment availability for development and testing teams.
- Communicate best practices for end-to-end software delivery and mentor team members.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (~75% of the role) to anticipate needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Measure performance through deliverables, quality of work, and feedback from peers and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in highly regulated industries (FI experience an asset).
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and VMware Cloud.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and orchestration tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to anticipate and address needs proactively.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency with SaltStack.
- Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes.
