Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer

• Client is seeking an enthusiastic Full Stack Software Developer with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who is proficient in TypeScript, Java, or Python. In this position, you will work on building innovative prototypes, proof of concepts, and tools that will shape the future of our technological solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, a strong systems thinking mindset, a strong desire to learn and adapt, and experience or interest in AI tools such as Claude or Cursor.
• You will be reporting to the Senior Product Manager based in Toronto and working closely with a Senior Distinguished Architect based in Portland, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop client applications and backend services using TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create tools, prototypes, and proof of concept implementations
• Develop tools and utilities to support planning, development, and operational processes
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring best practices and new solutions to the team
• Utilize modern AI tools like Claude or Cursor to accelerate development and productivity

Required Skills and Experience

• 2–3 years of professional experience in full-stack development
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Experience in building web applications, RESTful services, and APIs
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong systems thinking mindset to understand complex systems efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to solving problems, with willingness to listen, take feedback, and improve
• Open to new challenges and ready to extend knowledge outside of current area of expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Cursor
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science or IT preferred, or equivalent experience
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a developer
