UX Designer
Duration: 18 months
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

 
We’re looking for a mid-level UX Designer to join our Austin, TX team. Reporting to the UX Strategy Team Manager, this role focuses on creating digital and email design patterns and components, as well as interactive digital experiences. This position is ideal for a high-performing individual contributor with a passion for creating scalable design patterns grounded in UX best practices and research, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role supports a Digital Design System (DDS) for public-facing experiences, enabling web page builders to create intuitive and consistent website experiences while saving time and effort through established design patterns. DDS team members may be embedded across multiple teams while collaborating as part of a centralized design system group.
 
What You’ll Do

  • Design dynamic, interactive digital experiences and web applications (e.g., lead generation forms, calculators), including mobile and small-screen requirements
  • Build new DDS components and enhance existing components using Figma
  • Create detailed documentation to support development, system usage, and publisher authoring guides
  • Work independently while incorporating feedback from UX designers and developers
  • Follow established protocols for component design, file organization, and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to bring designs to life
  • Partner with UX Researchers to test designs and components with end users
  • Advocate for the Digital Design System internally and with external agencies
 
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a UX Designer or related role
  • Experience working with a Digital Design System and understanding atomic-based design
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including component creation and documentation
  • Solid understanding of design principles (layout, typography, color, composition)
  • Experience using Jira and working within Agile delivery teams and sprint cycles
  • Knowledge of current WCAG accessibility standards
  • Self-starter capable of leading discovery for new design patterns across web, email, and mobile
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Strong attention to detail with clear, polished communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate design rationale verbally and in writing to cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and pivoting quickly when needed
  • Experience using data and UX research to inform and iterate on design decisions

Comfortable working within distributed teams operating collaboratively toward shared goals
