Overview:
- We are seeking a Contingent Worker to join our Wearables team as an In-Market Release Technical Program Manager (TPM). This role is focused on managing software releases for in-market wearable products, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance across multiple platforms and regions.
Job Description:
- In-market technical program manager with experience managing software releases for consumer electronic products;
Qualification:
- In Market Release TPM Technical Program Manager (Temporary Role) – US, WA, Redmond Role Location Remote or onsite, as required by the team and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release Management: Own the end-to-end software release process for in-market wearable products, including planning, execution, and post-release monitoring. Coordinate release schedules, milestones, and deliverables with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, operations, and support).
- Drive release readiness reviews and ensure all release criteria are met.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for release status, risks, and issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear, concise updates and documentation throughout the release lifecycle.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues related to software releases. Escalate critical blockers and drive resolution with appropriate teams.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve release processes, tools, and documentation to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Implement best practices for release management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure releases meet regulatory, security, and quality standards for all supported markets.
- Partner with QA and compliance teams to validate release artifacts and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in technical program management, release management, or software project management.
- Experience managing software releases for consumer electronics or wearable products. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with release management tools and methodologies (e.g., Jira, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, global team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications Experience with in-market support and release management for multiple regions (e.g., North America, EMEA, APAC).
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer electronics.
- Technical background in software development or QA for embedded systems or mobile platforms.
