Job Title: Program Manager (Government Contracts)
Duration: 5 Months (01/5/2026 – 06/5/2026)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30354
Worksite: Onsite | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex government subcontracts ensuring alignment with FAR/DFARS requirements and prime contract obligations.
• Oversee contract formation activities, including identification and mitigation of high-risk provisions and negotiation of contractual modifications.
• Conduct detailed pre-award risk assessments for U.S. Government and military program proposals, providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Interpret prime contract requirements to ensure correct flow-down of obligations to subcontractors.
• Support commercial derivative military aircraft (CDMA) maintenance programs through subject-matter expertise in federal procurement.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, Program Management, and Technical Operations to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
• Manage contract workflows in SAP Ariba, including documentation, approvals, and ERIM review processes.
• Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready records of negotiations, risk assessments, compliance actions, and contract changes.
• Advise on subcontractor obligations and provide risk mitigation strategies during both pre-award and post-award phases.
• Resolve complex contractual issues involving federal acquisition regulations and subcontracting frameworks.
• Support internal teams by developing guidance, templates, and best practices for government contracting activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Military Contracts program.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• JD or advanced legal degree strongly preferred; MBA or equivalent business degree welcome.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. Government contracting with strong exposure to military, aerospace, or defense programs.
• Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS, SSOW, PWS, IDIQs, GTAs, and related federal contracting frameworks.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and execute complex government contracts and subcontracts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret federal regulations, assess contractual risk, and ensure compliance with prime contract flow-down obligations.
• Experience working within contract management systems, preferably SAP Ariba, and managing structured approval workflows.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with legal, compliance, technical, and supplier stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working as both a prime contractor and subcontractor supporting U.S. Government or military programs.
• Demonstrated success in managing contractual risk across the full lifecycle of government procurements.
• Familiarity with commercial derivative military aircraft (CDMA) program contracting structures.
