Hybrid – Louisville, KY
Duration: 6-Month
Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its Digital team as the company continues to expand within the OSR industry. This role focuses on manual, front-end testing for a new Point of Sale (POS) and Kitchen Display System (KDS). Test Planning (20%)
- Collaborate with product owners and development teams to define test plans for upcoming releases.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of manual test scripts.
- Assist developers in identifying appropriate unit test coverage.
- Participate in project meetings, daily scrums, and product planning sessions.
- Independently execute manual test scripts for the new POS and KDS.
- Track defects from initial discovery through production release.
- Maintain the on-site testing lab in Louisville, KY.
- Help manage a fleet of test devices and their associated builds.
- Partner with security teams to validate penetration testing and security findings.
- Report results on test execution outcomes and overall quality trends.
- Serve as an escalation point for the customer help desk.
- Certify restaurant hardware for production environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert on how system services interface with other systems across the environment.
- Work in the QA lab to test user experiences, validate system integrations, and troubleshoot bugs or misconfigurations across the POS and KDS platforms.
- A natural curiosity and desire to understand how systems function.
- Experience with manual testing.
- Experience in the retail or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry preferred.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
