Title: Sr Associate Clinical Contracts & Budgets
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension)

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with contract and budget negotiations, and must demonstrate strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills. This is a fully remote, 1-year contingent role that requires full-time commitment during working hours—candidates must not be concurrently employed elsewhere. Experience working in fast-paced, high-turnover environments is a plus. Test scores in Excel and Word will be required during submission.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Provide clinical site contracting services to clinical study teams to support study start up and conduct activities

Masters degree OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR Associates degree and 6 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience

- Recent (within last 3 years) contract and budget negotiation experience in a clinical trial setting.
- Active/involved negotiation with various contract types (CTA, CDA, Master Agreements, etc) and applicable budget. We want to make sure they are not just a “middle man” passing the contract from clinical trial site/sponsor to legal or finance team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, with focus on Excel

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Provide clinical site contracting services to clinical study teams to support study start up and conduct activities
- Negotiate clinical site contracts (i.e. Disclosure Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Service Agreements) using appropriate guidelines and collect necessary signatures for contract execution; Participate in site/legal/finance meetings as required to resolve contract issues;
- Negotiate site budgets from base budget and payment milestones using appropriate guidelines;
- Escalate contract and budget issues as appropriate;
- Support Clinical Pricing & Payments Group in setting up sites for payment;
- Track contract progression using appropriate systems;
- Amend and terminate contracts as necessary throughout lifecycle of study;
- Store and archive contracts and budgets in appropriate systems;
- Responsible for reviewing and approving, with Law guidance, applicable changes within ICF
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage end to end process for clinical site contracts;
- Support resolution of contract and budget issues;
- Maintain tracking in appropriate systems

Red Flags:
- Works another job during the day, splits time between this company and another job/employer
- No 4 Year degree or higher
- No contract negotiation experience
- No budget negotiation experience
- No (or very little) experience with clinical trial contracts
- Background in supply chain management/payments only
- Contract experience heavily leans on administrative side (execution, filing, tracking, but lacks negotiation)
- Last clinical contracting experience ≥3 years ago
- Lack of stable work history (1–6 month assignments with significant gaps)
