Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager Senior
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
Duration: 11+ Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)
 
Note:
  • Must be local to Thousand Oaks, CA- will be onsite for an entire week on a quarterly basis
 
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:             
  • The person will be supporting a project that is an initiative for better resource management insights (Demand of work vs. supply of people management)
  • Need resource management experience. They will be managing work streams, preparing agendas and documenting decisions as well as anticipating needs of the team and goal setting
  • Provide meeting management support including meeting planning, scheduling, facilitation, documentation (development of meeting agenda and minutes), and outcomes communication
  • Identify key deliverables, ensure cross functional alignment, track and manage execution plans
  • Collects, digests and assembles information to enable relevant decision-making and reporting to executive level governance meetings.
Interpersonal skills to include in screening process:
  • Someone who is comfortable asking tough questions or clarifying questions to ensure they understand the ask and mediate if needed
  • They should be able to create and seek alignment with the team overall
 
Job Description:

  • They will be managing work streams, preparing agendas and documenting decisions as well as anticipating needs of the team and goal setting
  • The client is searching for a Sr. Project Manager in our CMC Integration team within Operation Products Advancement in Process Development.
  • The Sr. Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for supporting cross functional initiatives that require both tactical workstream management and support for overarching project governance.
  • This role requires a foundational knowledge of resource management and the integration of data and technology implementation.
 
The Sr. PM will be a partner with technical leads to:
  • Identify key deliverables, ensure cross functional alignment, track and manage execution plans
  • Ensure teams are aligned across functional and executive level governance meetings
  • Leverage soft skills, technical knowledge, and leadership attributes to influence positive project outcomes
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment through the integration of interdependent activities and through the communication of plans and timelines, with specific emphasis on critical path activities
  • Collects, digests and assembles information to enable relevant business analysis and influence decision-making
  • Communicate project risk and monitor mitigation plans.
  • Provide meeting management support including meeting planning, scheduling, facilitation, documentation (development of meeting agenda and minutes), and outcomes communication
  • Establish and manage team collaboration sites.
  • Facilitate and incorporate lessons learned, and best practices
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience
OR
  • Masters degree and 5 years of experience
OR
  • Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience
OR
  • Associates degree and 12 years of experience
OR
  • High school diploma/GED and 14 years of experience
 
Red Flags:      
  • No admin coordinators
  • Must have foundation understanding of resource management
