Title: Chief Propulsion Design Engineer
Duration: Full-Time Direct Hire
Location: Roswell, GA
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chief Propulsion Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge aerospace team. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of jet propulsion systems, contributing to the development of high-performance aircraft engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in propulsion systems, and a passion for advancing aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership
• Lead the design and development of jet propulsion engines, components, and systems while ensuring adherence to performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Project Management
• Oversee propulsion-related projects from concept through testing phases, ensuring timely delivery, budget alignment, and performance objectives.
Testing & Validation
• Develop and execute test plans for propulsion systems, analyze performance data, and prepare detailed reports for design validation and certification.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with teams across design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and systems engineering to ensure seamless integration of propulsion systems into aircraft platforms.
Mentorship
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and technology advancements to drive next-generation propulsion system development.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in jet propulsion engineering or a related aerospace discipline with a strong track record of successful project execution.
• Expertise in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and/or aerospace materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience interpreting complex data.
• Proven leadership and project management experience with excellent communication skills.
• Due to the nature of the work within a defense environment, applicants must be U.S. citizens under federal eligibility requirements.
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with engine testing processes.
• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and emerging propulsion technologies.
