Job Description

Role: Sr. Technical Program Manager
Location: Mountain View, CA (3 Days hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to interact one-to-one with individual technical contributors, senior leaders, as well as coaching teams.
  • Help operations teams go from fighting fires to avoiding them.
  • You will not only help teams be more efficient, you will see the big picture and ensure processes scale appropriately with the company.
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.
  • Manage and maintain project backlogs and ensure forward momentum with project execution.
  • Leads effort to resolve project conflicts and establish appropriate resolution paths.
  • Manage dependencies between multiple projects.
  • Mentor individuals in best practices for planning and execution.
  • Develop partnerships with technology and business leaders.
  • Assess and mitigate risk exposure.
  • Manage resource planning.
 
Planning
  • Collaborate with Data Infra TLs to develop a strategy including setting short and long term goals for Open house migration.
  • Work with engineering teams to articulate requirements into execution goals, creating and maintaining roadmaps and dependencies through effective dashboard and source of truth artifacts.
 
Execution
  • Organize effort to bring cross-functional teams to deliver against milestones for Openhouse.
  • Manage technical risks by understanding the high level architecture and constraints of each platform to make trade-off decisions and managing batching of migration jobs.
 
Stakeholder Management
  • Effectively communicate on progress, plans and risks to various stakeholders.
  • Surface risks proactively and work with leadership to ensure they are mitigated on time.
  • Serve as a resource for partner teams on understanding and implementing change requests.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. in a technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years' of program management experience in an Operations or Technical space
  • Cloud or infrastructure experience
  • Effective Program management and communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience with agile methods and practices with multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Advanced theoretical understanding of managing the life cycle of large-scale programs and projects
  • Ability to manage multiple major concurrent projects
