Job Description

Title: Project Manager I
Location: Alameda, CA 94502

Duration: 1 year with possible extensions.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, user-focused, and detail-oriented Project Manager, Employee Experience to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of a global onboarding and employee engagement site. This role blends product ownership, internal communications, and technical project management. You’ll manage vendors, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Public Affairs, R&D, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Content Management System (CMS) Experience
o Own content gathering and implementation in collaboration with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
o Enter, update, and manage content within CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
o Troubleshoot CMS issues as they arise.
• Product Strategy & User Experience
o Understand and analyze user needs to inform content, design, and functionality decisions.
o Define and drive product strategy and vision based on the site’s purpose, goals, and user feedback.
o Prioritize features and manage the product backlog.
• Marketing & Communications Strategy
o Develop and execute marketing strategies to support employee engagement initiatives, including the global expansion of an employee onboarding & engagement website.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft and deliver communications plans that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement.
o Ensure brand consistency across all content and communication channels.
• Analytics & KPI Management
o Define, track, and report on KPIs to measure success of internal platforms and campaigns.
o Develop and maintain a marketing, product, and analytics roadmap to guide ongoing improvements.
o Use data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Stakeholder Management
o Create compelling executive summaries, reports, and presentations tailored to senior leadership.
o Build and design slide decks that effectively communicate key messages and data insights.
o Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
o Work cross-functionally within and across business units to align messaging, share resources, and support integrated initiatives.
• Project & Risk Management
o Support project management efforts by tracking deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
o Proactively identify project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
o Maintain clear, digestible project documentation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a communications, marketing, or content operations role.
• Experience working in technology or software industry, preferably with web applications.
• Demonstrated experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and ability to manage project content.
• Able to work independently and on a team, proactively identifying the correct stakeholders and colleagues to engage in order to complete tasks.
• Organized problem solver with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, follow-through, and professional rapport.
• Experience in using project management tools (JIRA, Asana, MS Project, or similar tools).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Project management experience, including the ability to manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver results across multiple initiatives.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and reporting dashboards.
• Knowledge of brand and content governance best practices.
• Proven track record of working effectively with executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Experience in handling technical documentation and product development lifecycle.
