Position Title: Pharmacy Technician
Work Location: 845 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX, USA, 75063
Assignment Duration: 04 months
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, hours between 8am – 6pm
Work Arrangement: On Site for 60 days and then Hybrid (Hybrid will apply after applicant successfully passes training)
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist working within a licensed pharmacy, performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of entering prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system, medication preparation, record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Specific state law may regulate that only licensed individuals perform compounding or mixing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system, in accordance with company policy and pharmacy regulations.

Sending and Processing Refill Requests.

Eligibility verification.

Generate refill documentation.

Process third-party claims adjudication.

Accurately read and interpret prescriptions.

Verify patient information and ensure proper physician authorization.

Calculate correct dosage volumes and day supply, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.

Accurately process all orders within our required Service Level Agreements.

Check all orders for completeness of information.

Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software systems.

Understand and work within specific program guidelines.

Assist in working cross-functionally, including handling prescriber calls and shipment-related calls.

Support escalations and assist with communications involving leadership, pharmacists, program management, and third-party hubs.

Qualification & Experience:

REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License (Texas) and Previous pharmacy experience of at least 6 months.

currently certified with the Texas Board of Pharmacy for a pharmacy technician and not expiring in 90 days from start date
