Job Title: Operational Readiness Analyst/Process Solutions Engineer
Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension)
Location:  4100 Gordon Baker Rd, Scarborough, ON (Hybrid, with 2 days onsite)


About the Role:
We are seeking a highly curious and proactive individual to join our team, focusing on resiliency, automation, and innovation within the Operational Readiness (OR) platform and its ecosystem. This role is less about traditional Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) leadership and more about engineering scalable solutions, identifying resiliency gaps, and integrating automation capabilities across platforms. This position combines technical depth with business analysis acumen to deliver initiatives that align with the OR Engineering roadmap and promote SRE principles.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to projects across all phases, from business analysis and requirements gathering to technical design, UI, and user onboarding.
  • Design and implement end-to-end automation for Operational Readiness processes, integrating with platforms such as PowerApps, JIRA, ServiceNow, and others.
  • Take charge of initiatives, proactively solutions and driving them forward.
  • Act as a product owner, focusing on enhancing user experience and growing our products.
  • Deliver initiatives that stitch together automation capabilities and tools (e.g., Power Platform, PowerShell, scripting) with enterprise systems and workflows to reduce toil.
  • Investigate and explore new technologies and approaches, particularly in areas like AI and PowerApps.
  • Run proof of concepts for improvement opportunities or value-add ideas.
  • Provide L3 support for our applications, with minimal involvement in general IT support.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  • Strong communication and consultation skills.
  • Investigative and curious mindset.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Experience or understanding of various project phases (BA, design, test).
  • Understanding of resiliency engineering concepts and toil reduction strategies.
  • Ownership mindset, with a focus on product growth.
  • Capable, energetic, and willing to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment (knowledge is a must-have, experience is a nice-to-have).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodology and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, and related tools.
  • Experience with system administration across Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.
  • Exposure to AI concepts or workshops.
  • Experience with configuration work or plug-and-play integrations (e.g., connectors).
  • Coding experience (indicates a logical, "if-then" thinking process).
  • Understanding of ITSM tools like ServiceNow, AWS, Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge with automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or scripting languages.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily focused on the OR platform, with potential expansion into other engineering areas.
  • The team values collaboration, but you will also b required to work independently without constant direction.
  • On-site presence in the Toronto area is a nice-to-have for initial meet-and-greets and relationship building.
